Immediate Impact Program

No school district can anticipate all of the needs that a learner will have that allows them to be mentally, physically, and emotionally ready for learning when they arrive at the classroom.
For example, a family that has been displaced from their home in November and are temporarily living in their car with a broken car window could not have been foreseen. Another example of an immediate need is a family that is experiencing domestic violence and needs a temporary safe place to stay.
These situations emerge and they directly impact the learner’s ability to learn.
The Immediate Impact Program of the West Fargo Area Education Foundation was created to assist so that each of our learners has the best possibility to learn and experience wellbeing.
These immediate impact actions are to temporary eliminate the dangerous or unsafe situation in order to provide the family time to find a more permanent solution.
